“… and remembrance of Allah indeed is the greatest virtue …” (Ch.29 v.46)

“O ye who believe! be steadfast in the cause of Allah, bearing witness in equity; and let not a people’s enmity incite you to act otherwise than with justice. Be always just, that is nearer to righteousness. And fear Allah. Surely, Allah is aware of what you do.” (Ch.5 v.9)
“O mankind, We have created you from a male and a female; and We have made you into tribes and sub-tribes that you may recognize one another. Verily, the most honourable among you, in the sight of Allah, is he who is the most righteous among you. Surely, Allah is All-knowing, All-Aware.” (Ch.49 v.14)

Without God, there can be no Peace – Man cannot live at peace with himself nor can peace be vouchsafed for society without this formula; no other formula can work. It is only the love of God which can bring about true respect for His creation. The higher the order of creation, the nearer it becomes to the Creator and the stronger the bond between the created and the Creator grows.
Allah the Almighty says about justice that it cannot be achieved without truthfulness, that your enmity towards enemy nations should not hinder you from dispensing justice. Nations that unjustly harm and hurt and cause bloodshed, chase and murder women and children, and do not desist from waging wars, how difficult it is to deal with such people. But the Holy Qur’an has not taken away the rights of even such mortal enemies and has enjoined justice and truthfulness.
Islam encourages Social Justice and Peace. Social justice in Islam extends to even to those who are not related; such as the neighbours, orphans and the needy. Diversity in social parameters serves a divine purpose. It is a Sign of God, and a driver of creation of knowledge, cultural advance, and progress of civilization. Merely being a member of a particular tribe or nation, in and of itself, is not a source of privilege, or honor. The true source of honor-in God’s sight-is one’s lifelong righteous conduct.
Jihad means exerting one’s utmost power contending with an object of disapprobation, and this is of three kinds, namely, (1) with a visible enemy, (2) with Satan, and (3) with one’s self.
The Holy Qur’an teaches that when war breaks out, it should be waged in such a way as to cause the least possible amount of damage to life and property; and that hostilities should be brought to a close as quickly as possible.
“Permission to fight is given to those against whom war is made, because they have been wronged – and Allah indeed has power to help them -” (Ch.22 v.40)
“Those who have been driven out from their homes unjustly only because they said, ‘Our Lord is Allah’ – And if Allah did not repel some men by means of others, there would surely have been pulled down cloisters and churches and synagogues and mosques, wherein the name of Allah is oft commemorated. And Allah will surely help one who helps Him. Allah is indeed Powerful, Mighty – ”(Ch.22 v.41)
“And as for those who strive in Our path – We will surely guide them in Our ways. And verily Allah is with those who do good.” (Ch.29 v.70)
“Those who believe and emigrate from their homes for the sake of God and strive in the cause of Allah with their property and their persons have the highest rank in the sight of Allah. And it is they who shall triumph.” (Ch.9 v.20)
“Surely, Allah has purchased of the believers their persons and their property in return for the Garden they shall have; they fight in the cause of Allah, and they slay and are slain – a promise that He has made incumbent on Himself in the Torah, and the Gospel, and the Qur’an. And who is more faithful to his promise than Allah? Rejoice, then, in your bargain which you have made with Him; and that it is which is the supreme triumph.” (Ch.9 v.111)
Socio Economic Peace
“Those who spend in prosperity and adversity, and those who suppress anger and pardon men; and Allah loves those who do good;” (Ch.3 v.135)

“O ye who believe! spend of the good things that you have earned, and of what We produce for you from the earth; and seek not what is bad to spend out of it when you would not take it yourselves except that you connive at it. And know that Allah is Self-Sufficient, Praiseworthy.”
“And whatsoever you spend or whatsoever vow you vow, Allah surely knows it; and for the wrongdoers there shall be no helpers. If you give alms openly, it is well and good; but if you conceal them and give them to the poor, it is better for you; and He will remove from you many of your sins. And Allah is aware of what you do.” (Ch.2 v.271-272)
